HIV Specialty Care

APO providers ensure that every patient receives stellar HIV care. APO provides HIV treatment consistent with CDC guidelines and our providers work with each patient to create an individualized treatment plan to fit into their daily life. Taking HIV treatment as prescribed and getting to an undetectable viral load and staying undetectable prevents the transmission of HIV to others through sex.

Primary Care

APO offers primary care that cover a range of prevention, wellness, and treatment services for common illnesses and to maintain overall health. APO’s primary care providers advise and treat patients for a range of health related issues and can coordinate referrals to specialty providers when needed.

Gender Affirming Hormone Therapy

APO provides gender affirming care including hormone therapy consultations as appropriate. Patients receiving hormone therapy and consultation are encouraged to maintain primary care services, either through APO or an outside medical provider. Patients with co-existing health issues may be required to establish a primary care relationship either with an outside medical provider, or with one of our providers.

STI Testing & Treatment

APO prioritizes routine HIV, STI, and Viral Hepatitis screening for all patients as a component of regular medical care. APO clinic patients are eligible to receive low or no-cost annual screening for Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, Syphilis, HIV, and Hepatitis C (when indicated).

PrEP & PEP

PrEP: APO offers pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) prescriptions for HIV prevention before a potential exposure. PrEP is highly effective for preventing HIV. APO’s PrEP Navigators can help you figure out if PrEP is covered through your insurance and help you apply for assistance programs if you are uninsured or underinsured. PEP: APO offers post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) for HIV prevention after an exposure. PEP must be started as soon as possible, within 72 hours of a possible HIV exposure. Please contact us immediately if you are interested in seeing if PEP is right for you.

On-site Phlebotomy

APO’s lab is equipped to obtain and process lab specimens to assist in managing your care. APO’s partnership with Quest allows us to provide all needed testing onsite or through conveniently located Quest locations near you.

Well Woman Pap

APO offers wellness visits for patients assigned female at birth to maintain health and ensure early detection of any reproductive health issues. APO’s providers will discuss your health history to determine which exam components (ex: pelvic exam, pap, breast/chest exam, etc.) are needed based on any current concerns or family history.

Hepatitis Care

APO offers testing and treatment for hepatitis C according to CDC guidelines. Because many people with hepatitis C do not have symptoms and do not know they are infected, getting tested for hepatitis C is the only way to know if you have the virus and if you need treatment. With treatment, most people can be cured of hepatitis C in 8 to 12 weeks.

Behavioral Health

Behavioral Health is important to everyday living. A healthy mental status provides you with tools to cope with life’s struggles. APO offers on-site counseling and can also refer to off-site behavioral health and psychiatric providers to ensure that your behavioral health needs are addressed.

APO now offers the Healow app. Healow allows you to check lab results, message providers with questions or concerns, or communicate with nursing staff conveniently on your phone.
